Man, I think I’m turning into a sentimental sap in my old age. Watching that retrospective brought a tear to my eye. The first year was honestly one of the best experiences I’d ever had in the Sonic community, even if, back then the convention started as ‘cosy’ (Read: Summer of Sweatswap 2008) It was still an amazing experience. I got to be with friends, I’ve made some new friends who I know will be friends for life, and generally SoS is the kind of convention I’d always wanted to see happen, but always believed would never come to fruition. The following year seemed to prove this further with the sheer volume of people who showed up. With this year proving to be even bigger than the last~ Man, I have NO idea how proud all of you guys must be feeling right now, because it’s my heart a world of good to see it. It’s come so far in such a short time and to be honest I don’t think they aren’t enough thank-yous I could provide to show my gratitude for such an event. Hell, even my 44 year old uncle (who started the bloody obsession for me) is pleased. It’s another story as to whether I’ll ever be able to get him to go, though. XD;

Ahhh, joyous memories! Here’s to more Summer of Sonic!
