Where Is It?
The Summer of Sonic 2010 will be taking place at the The Pavilion in London’s Shepherd’s Bush. The venue sits in front of the peaceful Shepherd’s Bush Common park, and is a very short distance away from the following London Underground train stations: Shepherd’s Bush; Shepherd’s Bush Market; Goldhawk Road. The most popular Tube line to use in public transport would be the Central (red) line – if you have booked accommodation in London, reaching this venue is a short underground journey away.
If you are travelling by car, there are several public parking areas that can be used to keep your vehicle during the day – bear in mind that these are likely to be pay and display. Two of the closest car parks to the venue are situated on Shepherd’s Bush Market and Rockley Road.
The Pavilion was the choice of venue for the Summer of Sonic organisers this year for the sheer available space, as well as the unique facilities and atmosphere that the hall provides. As you walk in from the entrance hallway, you’ll be facing a 1000-people strong space with steps leading down to each level ahead of you. There’s more than enough room for a stage at the bottom floor, with a backdrop that hangs from an even bigger balcony area!
We’ve included a map below of the location of Summer of Sonic 2010. Be sure to print this page off, or otherwise make a note of it so you don’t get lost! If you want to arrange your own map for whatever reason, here’s the address of The Pavilion:
