Chao-a! Chao-a!

July 21st, 2010 by Wentos

Hellos to you all you people outta there from the S and the OS, it’s me Chao-a, Wentos’s best friend and lover of the dying art of trading, haggling and all-a kinds of bric-a-brac. Wentos is-a still kind of shy after his appearance last years at the Summers of Sonics, hence I have to type-a for him still, even after all those articles on the Sonic Wrecks I still have to type the speaky words for him.

Last-a year we came directly from Chun-nan with many items to exchange in return for the goldy rings. Not the silver bling rings, not the wedding rings, not phone rings, not even the onion rings although they are most tasty – though they stain my hands a bit and Wentos complains. He always-a complains. You cannot shut him up on some occasions!

The good news is that our contact is in need of more goldy rings, and I hear there are many around The Pavilion that will suit him just fine.  Myself and Wentos will no doubt be around near the beginning of SOS 2010 to say hello and at points after that we will be about to do the trades and the exchanges for gold rings.

ONE RING PER PERSONS. ALL TRADES ARE FINAL!

Thanking yous.

Chao-a (& Wentos)

    I remember this! Last year people were running out in front of traffic to get a ring! Traffic people! Cars! Vans! Police cars!

  2. Marcus says:

    Yeah! More goodies to try and get! :D

  3. Jansen McCord (ShadowTG) says:

    Hmm, didn’t Wentos say “Mumble Bumble”? Doesn’t that count as him talking?

  4. Can someone tell me about last years one? So I have an idea where to look….

  5. Casanova says:

    @ Spudhead Well… last year when the time for the doors to open came and went. So T-Bird came out and started throwing rings at people, nobody knew what they were for, yet that didn’t stop people from running out into traffic to grab one!

    Then there were a few inside just left on tables. Then… Wentos arrived… and said he would give you something if you gave him one of your rings.

  6. Marie says:

    Last year was great with T-BIRD throwing the rings, BUT he never threw them in front of traffic.
    This year the power rings are made out of metal (Not real gold I’m afraid). So they are not being thrown.
    I didn’t find any last year inside the brewery, so I missed out on some brilliant prizes.
    This year it sounds like its going to be a fun game of hide and seek.

  7. Casanova says:

    @Marie,

    Yes they were, a bit further down the line near to where that dude was setting up the BBQ there were a bunch of cars coming down the one way street, suddenly a ring comes rolling over the road and a bunch of people ran out in front of a big white van. A few moments later another one comes only this time in front of a police car!

  8. Marie says:

    I was were the dude was setting up the BBQ but I never saw that happen,
    If people want to run out in front of traffic, thats their prerogative.
    T-BIRD never threw the power rings in front of traffic

    @baraknic

    Last year gold rings were given/thrown at people and some were hidden in the venue. You could trade a ring to Wentos for a mystery Sega prize.

    They’re doing the same this year too.

  15. Steven Kelly says:

    so we have to search for rings ^_^ awesome
